Shawn Grey Memorial Membership Award 2021

Shawn Grey:

This award is named in honour of the late Shawn Grey, esteemed colleague and leader in Monitoring and Evaluation, who served in the Jamaica Office of the Prime Minister, CARICOM, and the Management Institute for National Development (MIND). This award recognizes Shawn’s commitment to the discipline of M&E and his belief in supporting young persons in this discipline who are committed to understanding RBM and evaluation practice to support the sustainable development of his beloved Jamaica and the entire Caribbean community.

An applicant can be from a mentorship programme, completing a degree or a young professional working in this area.  The preference is to benefit a person early in their career.  The award winner will be profiled at CEI and JaVOPE meetings.  One to two awards will be given annually. The membership is for one year.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Beginning/early career individuals with an interest to work in the area of M&E (e.g., research, data collection, project monitoring, etc.).They should currently be up to four years after graduation of tertiary degree; or 3 years after first employment post in any sector
  • Tertiary degree in a relevant area
  • Persons aged 40 years or younger
  • Preference will be given to persons of Caribbean heritage who are intent on contributing to M&E in the region
