Brief profile
Stephanie Robinson is a Certified Development Cooperation Specialist with the
International Labour Organization and a certified Public Policy Analyst from the
London School of Economics and Political Science. She is a Sociologist by
training who also holds both Masters (with distinction) and bachelor’s degrees in
Sociology from the University of the West Indies. Additionally, she is experienced
in the development and assessment of policies and programs and has worked on
research designs, research methodology training programs, project implementation,
and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
Stephanie has worked regionally as a consultant in the private sector and has held
senior management roles in various governmental organizations in Trinidad and
Tobago. Her most memorable project completed was the Local Government
Reform Agenda (Guyana) as a member of a team of consultants engaged in
conducting research on the Financial Management and Capacity Building
opportunities to create a self-sustaining business model with less reliance on state
funding.
Stephanie -Robinson has been involved in Credit Unions for over twenty years and became a Caribbean
Development Educator in Jamaica (2018) and subsequently a mentor for this programme in 2022. She has
attended and participated as a delegate at regional and international conferences: Caribbean Confederation
of Credit Unions (CCCU Trinidad 2018), World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU-Singapore 2018)
and Annual Leadership Conference (Mexico 2017)-The Association of Co-operative Credit Union
Presidents of Trinidad and Tobago- ACCUPTT. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of one of
the largest Credit Unions (over TT$2billion in assets) she was the Secretary of the Education Committee
and a member of the Governance, HR/IR and Finance Committees during her term. Her most influential
work was as Chairman (Nominating Committee) where she reviewed internal governance arrangements
which resulted in changes to the Co-operative’s Byelaws.

Stephanie is currently employed with the East Port of Spain Development Company as a Project CoOrdinator in the Socioeconomic Programmes Unit. In her spare time, she enjoys fitness activities, sewing,
movies, gardening, crossword puzzles and contributes to the rehabilitation and rehoming of kittens and cats.
Stephanie further emphasizes the need to maintain integrity in all her affairs.
