Brief profile
Maricia Patterson’s career started in 2001 as a Project Analyst with the Ministry of Finance after pursuing a B.Sc. in Management as a Trinidad and Tobago National Scholar. She later gained extensive experience and certification in critical areas such as Project Appraisal and Analysis, Project Management, and Monitoring and Evaluation.

Mrs. Patterson achieved Post-Graduate Certification in Project Planning, Appraisal and Management from the University of Bradford and M.Sc. in Public Sector Management from the University of the West Indies, Trinidad Campus. She successfully completed the International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET) Intensive Core Course, and is seeking further certification in Monitoring and Evaluation.

Of her more recent feats, she served in the Ministry of Planning and Development as an Implementation Coordinator with responsibility for establishing and implementing a National Monitoring and Evaluation Policy and System. She served in the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services as a Deputy Director with responsibility for the National Social Development Programme (NSDP) and Sowing Empowerment through Entrepreneurial Development (SEED) Programme. She currently serves as the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at the Ministry of Sport and Community Development with responsibility for developing M&E systems for integrating a culture of M&E throughout the Ministry.

Previously, Mrs. Patterson worked as a Project Specialist at the Ministry of Education with responsibility for, inter alia, establishing an Enterprise Business Planning and Reporting System. In addition, she functioned within project organizations for the hosting of international events where her Business Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Human Resources Planning, and Project Management skills were uniquely chartered and impressively enhanced.

She currently volunteers with a community-based organisation where she is responsible for the project management and M&E functions. And she is developing an M&E framework for the organisation's most recent research and development project.
